We understand that flexibility in any catastrophic situation is key, which is why our robust business continuity plan allows us to achieve just that by facilitating sustained operations in the event of any disaster or extended disruption to business.
Through partnerships with world-class disaster recovery facilities, dms Management Ltd. (DMS) is able to protect our information and ensure continued operations through multiple offshore jurisdictions with multiple time zones. Geographically distant, our data centres are designed to run completely independent of each other. These IT infrastructure systems, each located in offshore jurisdictions, are monitored 24/7 by an external monitoring service. This in turn allows us to create high-availability scenarios where critical core data and application services are replicated in real-time to redundant, off-island locations.
These measures guarantee that DMS' client information is always protected and accessible. It might seem excessive, but we believe that our clients are worth it. Our sophisticated IT infrastructure is supported by a seasoned team of knowledgeable in-house experts who are continually working to ensure DMS stays at the very forefront of cutting-edge technology.
Data Protection
DMS prides itself in continuously adapting to new technologies; this ethos serves many purposes, for which data protection is at the forefront. DMS has aligned itself with a number of best industry practices and has partnered with market leaders within the disaster recovery and business continuity field. These partnerships afford DMS the comfort of knowing that commitments made to clients relating to data integrity and protection are both achievable and realistic.
DMS has strategically placed disaster recovery and business continuity services within high tier, BSI and ISO certified datacentres. In order to combat the varied natures of a disaster, DMS has ensured that disaster recovery services are located in geographically dispersed regions, located up to 3,500 miles apart. The datacentres are interconnected via dedicated links, and all networks, including network perimeters, are controlled by dedicated firewalls and virtual networks. These measures ensure data protection and integrity, whilst facilitating the replication of data real time.
Annual Testing
The DMS Business Continuity Plan is tested for assurance at least once a year. This is a full-scale exercise, which provides clients with the confidence that should an incident occur, all critical data and services are protected and accessible.
Staff Preparedness
DMS has a dedicated Crisis Management Team that oversees the execution of all necessary steps outlined in the Business Continuity Plan. DMS also has a line of succession to ensure that decision making for the plan is not compromised. Alternate Operating Locations
Our strategic global offices enable DMS to continue “business as usual” and avoid interruption of client services. DMS has a contingency plan for relocating essential personnel to alternative locations, and provides access to secure Internet VPN connection to our primary and backup servers. Additionally, DMS subscribes to Brac Informatics Centre’s (BIC) CompanyCONNECT service, which is a secure, private vault for storage of key documents and files.
